Specialist Lighting Cameraman and Film Maker for the Healthcare Sector

Hi, I’m Chris owner of Colour Black Productions.  I am an experienced Lighting cameraman, and Film Maker based in Bridgend, South Wales. I specialise in producing creative video content for the Healthcare Sector and related charities. I am passionate about working with organisations and good causes to create meaningful videos that will have an impact, tell a story or raise awareness. I don’t want to create videos just for the sake of it. I want my videos to help and make a difference.

I have extensive experience in working with organisations and creating informative documentary style videos, within the Healthcare Sector. I use my skills and knowledge of the Sector and it’s audience to create dynamic and relatable content which gets the right message across to the intended audience.

The Heathcare Sector includes companies that specialise in products and services related to health and medical care. Much of my work has also focused on creating promotional marketing video content for these companies to take their products to market and therefore help people improve their lives.

From a charity perspective, I have created video content for National and  local charities across the UK, helping them to build awareness of their organisation, communicate a message and of course tell their stories.

Experience & Skills

My Experience

Having grown up in a commercial photography studio you might say creating visual imagery is in my blood. However being a young man who loved sport I decided to gain a BSc in Sports Coaching. I soon found that this was not really my passion so in 2005 I followed my heart and began offering my services as a Freelance Filmmaker. I worked on a variety of commercial products where I developed my skills for filming and telling a story through film.

With the knowledge I had gained from my Sport Qualifications and my love of health I then began to combine this with my filmmaking which led to producing content for the Healthcare Sector.

  • Camera knowledge on Broadcast Cameras
  • Able to shoot in 4k Pro Res Raw
  • High skill level in creative lighting
  • Excellent understanding of compositions and visual story telling
  • Keen eye for detail
  • I can work alone or in a large production team.
  • I am very understanding and am able to communicate with people from all walks of life
  • Organise a full production team.
